We are all so proud of you! :)

Happy Holidays

I know many of you are leaving for the holidays. I just wanted to say what a pleasure and honor it is to work for you, the Student-Athlete. Email me if you need me. :)

Junk Food

Everyone pigs out during finals, but before you go on that junk food binge read this.
What Happens to your body when you drink a coke...

Final Exam Week

Need a study break? Stop by my office this week between 10 a.m. and 3:00 pm. for snacks. We can talk about your exams. ;)

Your Study Strategy

Okay, you have a plan for studying for your exams. My best advice? Follow it. Plans are good, but most students don't follow them. If you plan on studying Thursday at 2:00 do it. Even if your roommate asks you to go to the sport center to workout.

Emergency Car kit

Okay, as my student workers can tell you I am totally obsessed with this topic. Why? Before coming to Eastern I personally met many of those misplaced by Hurricaine Katrina. They were on campus at the University of Memphis, in the church gym, everywhere. Many had to leave suddenly and without notice.

Recently, the story of James Kim & his family really touched me. As many of you make the trip home or plan to travel during these winter months please take a moment to read this: Emergency Car Kit

Time Management

I really wish someone had told me this. Time Management.

One Week Left!!!

The last week of school is here!!! Stay focused!! Write out a plan for studing for finals. Are you using flashcards, outlining chapters, writing out a timeline for your history class? Are you getting someone to proofread that paper? If you need help come by my office. :)

Financial Aid Problems

Unfortunately, I can NOT help Student-athletes with issues that surround financial aid. Since Eastern is a Division III school, therefore not able to give scholarships, I cannot give financial aid guidance or advice.
I do suggest you ask to see a financial aid advisor in Wood Support Services if you have any questions or problems. Thanks.

Tomorrow

I have an early morning appointment, so I won't be in until 12:00 on Wednesday. I will stay late to meet with anyone who needs me. :)

Freshmen Start to Register Today

Student-Athletes.
I admit it. I hate registration. It stresses me out. I worry way too much. Will they get the right instructor? Will they miss too much class because of competition? Is there anything left open?
Do me a favor. Don't wait until the last minute to meet with your advisor. It will save us both heartache.
